        El próximo día 21 de junio sale a la venta el nuevo disco de Billy Corgan titulado The Future Embrace y contiene como extra una versión de la canción To Love Somebody, un clásico de los Bee Gees, en la que Robert Smith realiza acompañamientos vocales.

Roger O'donnell, Perry Bamonte y Daryl Bamonte salen de The Cure.

        El sitio oficial www.thecure.com anuncia de forma somera la salida del grupo del teclista Roger O'donnell y del guitarrista Perry Bamonte.

        O'donnell ha realizado en su sitio web el siguiente comunicado en relación a su salida del grupo y en el que se pone de manifiesto que su marcha ha ido precedida por una mala relación existente con Robert Smith: 'As of Tuesday this week I am no longer a member of The Cure. I have prepared an official statement which will be released when timely. It was sad to find out after nearly 20 years the way I did but then I should have expected no less or more. I will try and reply to every email of support I receive but if I don't get to yours, THANK YOU. The fans have always been very important to me and will remain so. I look forward to seeing as many of you as I can when I tour my album later this year, hopefully in a more relaxed and happy atmosphere than has surrounded The Cure these last couple of years'.

        Así mismo el manager de giras y hermano de Perry, Daryl Bamonte, también ha salido de The Cure, aunque el sitio oficial no haya hecho referencia alguna a su marcha.

Remasterizaciones de Seventeen seconds (1980), Faith (1981) y Pornography (1982).

        Según el sitio oficial de The Cure, en el próximo mes de abril se lanzarán las reediciones remasterizadas de los cds Seventeen seconds (1980), Faith (1981) y Pornography (1982) con sus respectivos cds extra. Sus contenidos serán los siguientes:

        Cada remasterización contiene un libreto de 20 páginas con notas, letras y fotos inéditas. Recopilaciones hechas por Robert Smith.
